@JACK! you're gonna have to have a word with your fellow Bron stan above here who probably hasn't even watched a CP3 in the last five years.

:unimpressed:
I never rooted for a player more than I rooted for CP this season. I do think his age and diminutive stature put a ceiling on how effective he could be against the Bucks size, especially after the Bucks made the requisite adjustments--- Jrue was in his jersey and the Bucks weren't conceding the Brook Lopez switch as easily as they were earlier in the series (they also played Giannis at the 5 more which completely neutralized CP)-- but ultimately, the moment seemed too big for him. He passed up so many open looks in games 5 and 6. He surrendered ball-handling duties to Booker during crunch-time just to stand in the corner. I hate to play sports psychologist but he looked completely shook.

Dudes in here really trynna talk about Chris Pauls height being a detriment and that his interior teammates are to blame.

The fukking audacity of these statements is truly despicable.

Chris is a 16 year vet! So what he can't guard Giannis. Ayton was drowning and felt helpless. If you truly are a all time great, u pick that man up and inspire him to do better.

Talk to Monty and get a better gameplan to help Ayton. I don't want to hear Chris Pauls name next to Curry or Zeke as far as undersized players who led their team to championship. He had his chance and he blew it. Even guys like Barkley who never won a ring. Chris Paul is not on that level because at least Chuck showed up and didn't cower from the moment.

This year he averaged 16ppg in the regular season but 19ppg in the playoffs. So wtf are you even talking about? For his career he's averaged 18ppg in the regular season and 21ppg in the playoffs. Clearly you're full of shyt.

24-11-15 in his very first closeout game against Dallas. 27-2-6 with the game-winner in Game 7 against the defending champ Spurs. 41-7-10 in the closeout game against the Jazz. 27-11-6 in the elimination game against the Jazz. 37-3-7 in the closeout game against Denver. 41-4-8 in the closeout game against the clippers. 26-2-5 in the elimination game against the Bucks.

Yeah, sounds "passive as fukk" in the biggest moments.

You were talking shyt saying he was only good in "Game 65 of the regular season", now you're demanding perfection in literally every single game he plays?

At 36yo CP3 just averaged 22-3-8 on 55/52/75 shooting against elite defense in the NBA Finals. That's fukking impressive. Stockton ain't giving you that. Isiah ain't giving you that. Payton ain't giving you that. He played decent to good in 5 out of 6 games and his 2nd-worse game was a blowout loss where he couldn't have affected the win anyway, the ONLY game in the Finals where he hurt the team was Game 4. From that ya'all wanna build the stupidest narratives.

CP3 wasn't the reason the Suns lost the series. Inability to stop Giannis and Middleton when it mattered is why they lost. But I know some of y'all just love the narratives and you'll stick with the narrative no matter what transpires.
Stop giving us this bullshyt breh. We all WATCHED Game 6 and the rest of the Finals. When the Suns season was going away at the end of Game 6, why didn’t Chris Paul do anything? Did he even score in the last six minutes of the game?

If your argument is he’s short so therefore he deserves a pass then cool. But then don’t keep trying to force him into these GOAT and top five PG conversations.

And it’s not even about him being the reason they lost. If he was the “point god” he should have been the reason they won.

Goddamn some of y’all are ridiculous. Booker went off many times in his first playoff appearance. Ayton was tearing teams up until the Finals in his first playoff appearance. They got to the finals and they’re a joke now? Grow the fukk up. shytty basketball discourse I swear

You can't expect intelligent basketball discussions on this site. The majority of these posters lack the critical thinking skills to form their own opinions.

Frazier is such a tough comparison cause he was a very big PG in a very different era. Outside of an aging Oscar Robertson he was the tallest PG in the league in the pre-3pt era. His peak was short and during a talent drain cause it coincided with the ABA, and I honestly have basically never watched those early 70s games that he starred in. From everything I know tho he had a very good all-around game.
Walt Frazier wasn't afraid of big moments.

Breh, just admit that you love narratives more than basketball and give it a fukking rest already. :mjlol:

Frazier and CP3 both had plenty of history of balling out in some big moments. But if you want to actually compare:

Frazier in the final game of a series over his career: 18.8ppg
CP3 in the final game of a series over his career: 22.5ppg

Frazier's top-3 series ending wins: 36 points, 25 points, 25 points
CP3's top-3 series-ending wins: 41 points, 41 points, 37 points

Frazier playoff game-winners: ?
CP3 playoff game-winners: The series-winning shot in Game 7 over Tim Duncan

And that's even crazier cause CP3 a pass-first point guard while Frazier played in a much faster-paced era and didn't set up his teammates as much even tho he had the NBA MVP and two other HOFers on his team.

Also...
They want to pretend like 41-4-8 in an elimination game against the Clippers never happened.

And against the Nuggets too. Denver cut that lead to 6 with five minutes left in the elimination game and then CP3 scored 11 points in the last 5 minutes to put the game away and give him 37-3-7 for the game.

2018 in the elimination game against the Jazz he had 20 in the 4th to turn a 3-point deficit into a 10-point win. 41-7-10 for the game.

Then in the back-to-back WCF wins against the Warriors in Game 4 and Game 5 he had 8 and 7 in the 4th during brutal defensive battles.

2015 in Game 7 against the Spurs he was limping with an injured hammy and still put up 9 in the 4th including drawing a foul on Duncan to give the Clips the lead with 13 seconds left then hitting the game-winner over Duncan with 1 second left.

Even going back to his very first elimination game ever, he poured in 11 points in the 4th against the Dirk-Kidd-Terry Mavs to preserve a 5-point win and send them home.

They REALLY love their narratives on here, facts be damned.
