What can go wrong, will go wrong.

Be back in time to make 1 more playoff push (early-mid march)

Yikes. At least They gonna get to see how Blake plays without CP3 when he returns :yeshrug:

They did pretty well a couple seasons ago with Blake running the show, but that was also a few injuries ago for Blake

Blow it up. CP3/Blake era Clips is over.

Starting to feel bad for CP, and was never a fan of his. He's a whiny lil dude but he deserves better. The Clippers will never win, blow them up and relocate.

Just blow it all up. Let this man go be on a contender and let Blake & DJ walk. It's sad as fukk watching this inevitability happen every year because all three deserve better

Why blow up the second best team in the West? So we can go back to getting blown out for another 40 yrs? fukk that I'd rather be 50+ every year with a 2nd round exit barring injuries then be a perennial lottery team. Blowing it up is when you have nothing left to lose like the Bulls or the Knicks that is casual talk.

the good news is if they get the spurs in the first round then that could be a 7 game series...

the great news is that the 8th seed is so far back it is almost impossible for the clippers to not make the playoffs

the bad news is they are going to need a full healthy roster to win that possible spurs series and everything that can go wrong will go wrong for the clippers...

the worse news is that even if they get out of the 1st round they got to play the warriors in the second and when was the last time GS and LAC even played a competitive game? That is a 4 game beatdown lose by 15 or more every single game series...

Also if the Clippers want to remain competitive they got no choice but to pay blake and pay chris...cause aint no way they going to get a big man as good as blake to replace him and aint no way they going to get a point guard as good as chris to replace him...and Doc already showed you in boston what he would do when it is time to rebuild...which is leave...

They either got to pay those guys and spend the next 5 years being second round cannon fodder at best or let them walk and pretty much turn into a lotto team at the exact moment the lakers start to get good young players again...

Sometimes you gotta get worse so you can get better :yeshrug:

I'd much rather be the Sixers than the Grizzlies right now

The Clippers have been worse for the entire franchise's existence so that obviously isn't true. I'd rather get rid of obvious dead weight like Pierce, Jamal, and Doc and trade Rivers for Melo before I get rid of a core that has sniffed good Playoff runs which have ended due to bullshyt. And the sixers being good is a matter of time. If in 5 years they still haven't made the playoffs and the grizzlies still make the playoffs can you say the same thing? And it's not as if we regressed we've actually gotten better this year with bench improvements.

I just wonder if Paul will really think about leaving the Clippers especially after this injury. His time as an elite player is ticking and his body will only hold out so much longer. He probably will really think about taking the short money for a couple of years if it means he can sign with someone who gives him a better chance to get a ring.

He's not leaving 70 million on the table

Clippers haven't gone any farther with CP3, Blake & DeAndre than they did with Elton Brand, Chris Kaman & Corey Maggette.

I guess different strokes for different folks, cause I'd rather watch a lottery team led by young pieces that's trending in the right direction than watch a team led by guys either in their 30s or right around the corner from it that's already topped out.

By all means the Clippers can stretch this core out for as long as possible. Nothing wrong with ending up like the Mavs without the title :yeshrug:
