Where the fukk and when was there measles breakthrough cases? :jbhmm:
You've been vaccinated, but can you still get measles?
(MMR) vaccine is a two-dose vaccine series that effectively protects against all three viruses.

In fact, more than 93 percent of people who get the first dose of MMR develop immunity to measles. After the second dose, about 97 percent of people are protected.

Measles outbreak in Gothenburg urban area, Sweden, 2017 to 2018: low viral load in breakthrough infections - PubMed

Medical records were reviewed and real-time PCR-positive samples genotyped. Cases were classified as naïve, breakthrough or vaccine infections. We compared clinical symptoms and measles RNA cycle threshold (Ct) values between breakthrough and naïve infections. Sixteen of 28 confirmed cases of measles in this outbreak were breakthrough infections.

Do you know how vaccines work? I don't think you do based on this post.

I know a lot about vaccines and how they work. They are supposed to provide immunity to the specific strain that was injected in you when you got vaccinated. However, the vaccine does not protect you from getting the covid variants. That was all I was saying.

When will yall learn the vaccine does not 100% protect u from getting Covid?

This like the 100th thread about this
If you fully read my responses in this thread I pointed out that the vaccine was never supposed to protect you from getting Covid. In fact when you get the shots they give you waivers that say that specifically. I responded to what Chris rock was saying—or whether to what was implied which is that getting the vaccine is somehow a protection from it. I understand now that what he really meant is that perhaps things would be much worse for him if he didn’t have the vaccine—but I know plenty of vaccinated people who are very sick. My head is killing me and I can barely get out of bed—I guess on the plus there is a possibility that things would be worse for me if I wasn’t vaccinated. I just want people to be informed that getting vaccinated doesn’t mean you won’t get it which is what a lot of people believe.

No, this vaccine does not provide immunity to covid 19(of any strain). Where did u get this from? The CDC has stated over and over that the vaccine shot is to lessen the effect and spead of covid, not grant immunity.

I mean, you can still catch Covid even while fully vaccinated with any of the available vaccines. It's a vaccine not immunity. He should survive. Its all about massively lessening the symptoms and massively decreasing the odds of needing hospitalization or a tombstone. But its not immunity. He should be fine, but its worrying that even with the lessened effects due to being vaccinated he STILL clearly is saying the shyt is bad. Unvaccinated people gonna have those issues 10 fold.
If Lindsey Graham sweet ass survived, then Rock will

You might still be positive but overall the vaccine seems to help with the surival rate and death rate. Obviously everything with Covid is still new but so far off half a year of vaccines thats waht we've seen so far
Its a booster to train your body to have a more resistance to it not a total cure thats not out there and hopefully not cause any other pre conditions to make it worse.

Hope Chris gets better and its not a rough going

Edit: saw he took the J&J one which is the weakest, would have gone with Pfizer as that seems to be strongest. Im curious if there will be stats on the vaccinated who got covid after and which version of the shot they took

Everyone will eventually all get covid at some point. There is no way to stop this shyt. I thank god that covid was on easy mode when I had it.

there is a way to stop it :comeon:, people are too selfish to do what needs to be done and our society/economy isn't setup to handle a pandemic.:francis:

surviving covid once may not be a good indicator of beating it in the future again and again. there are people who had it 2-4 times already and ended up dying.

Pfizer isn't the strongest. It's the weakest of the three. It has a 42% effective rate IIRC.

it feels like a cold, my head hurts a lot and if I do too much movement I feel dizzy and cough a lot. I’ve been staying in the bed tbh. It hit me on Wednesday out of nowhere my throat was sore, I thought it was allergies but with each day it progressed. I can’t taste or smell food either.

:merchant: and you're fully vaxxed?

Please get better.
