I liked the movie and thought he did a good job playing the straight man to Julie Delpy's comedic role. I also don't think she's bad looking for a 40 something white bytch. I'd smash

He was too passive/cornballish in this movie I think. Delpy was insane too smh @ her almost scrapping with her sister in the resturant.

What worries me, as it does worry most well educated brothas, is when nikkas date outside of their race simply because they don't think their own race is good enough for them, or above them, or for some c00n reason. Black men also need to understand that when they date outside of their race, often times what happens is that the parents don't even like you. If you actually plan on having a serious relationship with a non-black woman, the parents simply won't like you simply because you're black. As a matter of fact, this is what happens in a great deal of cases. It may not seem like so much of a big deal because you and your partner are adults and can make decisions for yourselves, but when it comes to your child being able to identify with a culture, they need to be able to have family that won't inculcate in their heads the idea that there's something wrong with part of their heritage.

who gives a fukk about the parents? I hate chillin with my ex's parents, all of them, the black ones too. that shyt is awkward as hell. going over for dinner, putting on a fake ass face. I hate mingling with the other sides parents, dont matter the color. I mean Ill go out of respect, but I'm not trying to chill over there every weekend and be best friends. they over there, im over here, you want to have dinner with your daughter cool, but dont expect me to go every single time, I have my own parents. I'm not adopting new ones.

There's also another issue that needs to be addressed. MOST black men who get with white women are not getting with white women simply because they "love" them. They're getting with white women because they subconsciously see it as an upgrade over black women. I've heard brothas in high school arguing about who's darker, as if any of that shyt even matters. They're so obsessed with the color of their skin that they'd actually argue over it. There's NOTHING wrong with black skin.
