Dave is funny but he varies with his material, a good thing for growth, but it doesn't always land.

His recent full circle storytelling is great but I come up with these observations myself. It's great for those that don't think that way but the jokes are sparse throughout.

He's not a social commentator and gut buster like a Murphy, Earthquake, Paul Mooney, Don DC Curry, etc.

That's why he is successful with this format, he works better in long form and storytelling. The comedy is sprinkled in, check the Chapelle show.
Side note: Half-Baked was corny to me.

Funnier is subjective but arguing that Patrice has as much projects and material out there as CR is crazy. He doesn't.

Around 2011-2012 I started listening to Bill Burr podcasts and Patrice's appearances and his radio show. When I found YouTube playlists of all of Patrices shyt I listened to em every night at work.

Patrice easily has over 100 hours of grade A material, just naturally riffing. No writers, no prep.

Chris Rock does not.

Patrice will forever be my number 1/2/3, I swear he would be on top of he lived.

Dave is also top 3, but Chris is too much of a character to me, same vein as Katt Williams and Kevin Hart.

Patrice never played a character.

Dave had character moments but has definitely evolved to just be himself now.

I hold those types of comics in higher regards

The argument is does Patrice have as much material out there as Rock. He doesn't. I don't even know why anyone would try to argue this.

Where can I find 100 hours of Chris Rock?

What kind of material are you talking about? Tv and movies? Okay but that's not just Chris.

People saying "Dave and it's not even close" off

I'm not gonna pick one but I'll put it like this

In the late 90s when we it was announced that Chris Rock was going on tour, he delivered 2 classics.

Chappelle dropped his classic stand-ups when no one expected him too.

His Netflix specials have entertaining but have been underwhelming for someone of his caliber. Dave is fully aware that people respect his social commentary and will lean on that through a whole set because.
