He never said the royal family wasn’t racist. In fact, he said they invented racism and colonialism. What he said was them wanting to know what the baby looked like wasn’t an example of that. You can agree or disagree with that, but he wasn’t saying they weren’t racist as a whole.

The use of -ass as a modifier in the sense its used in the phrase started in aave and was later adopted into sae, ie its construction is not unique and could have been done by anyone fluent in aave in the early 1900s (when 'cracker' was initially used in its present meaning).
