We'll never know
But Chris was making a habit of it
the first time was worthy of a slap as well to be honest lol if they are supposed to be friends
As a black man, unprovoked violence towards another black man is off the table. If you can respect his choice to use violence in that situation we will just have to disagree.

Bro that's literally not the point, we all know Will shouldn't have overreacted but he did. You cannot control another man's actions and he put himself out there making a joke about his wife. I really don't know what you are arguing, would that have turned out well for Chris or not? If the answer is no, then he did the only thing he could do to not make things worse.
His wife is not just his wife

She's also a public figure and an actor

"His wife, his wife" ain't the get out of free card ppl try to make it out to be

sometimes its the only way to gain respect or set boundaries:yeshrug:

and it wasn't unprovoked..lol

This is one of da things wrong with da world today. People think they can say anything to anyone and not get touched:yeshrug:

First he said no one wants her there anyway when she tried to start a boycott, had everyone laughin at her and shyt.

Then when she does show up, he makes fun of her appearance which happens to be tied to a medical issue..had everyone laughing at her again lol

he was picking on her, he had it coming

Will wasnt wrong for checking the man about his wife. But he was wrong getting physical in public.

Number one, you pull one of your comedian friends aside during an intermission and let them know you need a quick one liner for Rock when you give this acceptance speech. Then if you still feel there needs to be something you do it backstage and let it leak to the press, then deny, deny, deny.

Will is forever a sucker for that.

Rock didn’t do anything deserving of violence. His wife out here fukking his sons friends and making it public yet he needed to protect her honor against a stand up comedians joke?
:yeshrug:I'm sorry, but you crack on my family, I'm fukking you up. You could be the reincarnation of Richard Pryor, and I'm cracking that mandible in half.

Imagine a comedian making a joke about another public figure? The horror.
Both his jokes were in poor taste

Show me another example of a black man singling out and shytting on another black man's wife at an awards ceremony (much less the world's most watched awards ceremony lmao)...TWICE.

Ppl keep sayin he wouldnt of done that if the rock was up there :mjlol: ...If you know anything about The rock, you know he would never say no dumb shyt like that

Chris got too comfortable and got put in his place:yeshrug:
