Perfect way Chris put it. Its not about "race relations" per se. Its about not being an a$$hole. Specifically speaking to the dominant majority in this country, whites.
Chris is spot on... This is why i dont argue with cacs about race issues. Until white people confront their past and address the racism and legacy of white supremacy in their community nothing will ever change.
Ike Turner is white america and Tina is black america.break it down for me breh...im not getting it![]()

Potent ether
Ike Turner is white america and Tina is black america.
Ike beat the shyt outta turner for years, so if they had breakfast its not because their relationship improved.
Its simply because Ike stopped beating the shyt out of Tina.
And in reality is Ike not beating Tina anymore progress for Tina or progress for Ike?
Saying it's progress for Tina is Ike saying "You see, now that you behaved yourself I don't have to beat you anymore"
Now Ike is sitting across the table feeling no responsibility for the condition that Tina is in, wants the past to be forgotten and shames Tina for not having improved herself by then.
This is actually some deep shyt.![]()
Saw him in the Seinfeld coffee show. Dude really has a brilliant mind. He's really a fukking genius in that regard.
The best comedians have a way of doing that.
Good sentiment, but it's not about white people being nice or mean... it's about institutions and the distribution of power.

That last sentence really summed up how I feel about Whites say stuff like, "I didnt enslave anybody", "That was so long ago", "Get over it", etc.
Its always been BLACK LABOR WHITE WEALTH.
That really is the core reason for dysfunction in the black community.
So they may not have had a direct hand in slavery and Jim Crow, but they sure as hell are benefiting from the POWER, WEALTH, & INFLUENCE that was gained by the dominant society in those times.
Props to Chris for keeping it all the way 100.
