Exactly. If black directors, producers, etc. went out of their way to give major roles and opportunities to black people who win BET awards and other black awards, we at least would have one way to reward great black entertainers.

- Black directors and producers need money to make these films. It takes an assload of money to shoot a movie.
If they don't have a lot of money, their only gonna be able to make straight-to-video movies. Those don't be gettin' love.

- I'm legit trying to think of "other Black awards" besides the BET Awards (which you could argue as to their "blackness" anyway)
and ABFF awards...

I watch chris rock opening monologue. It was ok, it wasn't LOL either. I got his whole joke and stance on the boycotting the Oscars by mentioning how many times in the past no black people were nominated. But using the rape, lynch and grandma's hanging from a tree was true but uncomfortable to me but he got a lot of claps for it. For the first time he seemed kinda nervous and rushed.
