kanye is better than puffy come on keep it real. i think college dropout and late registration had interesting things to say in relatively sophisticated ways. graduation and yeezus are poor lyrically. mbdtf is good. and 808s is good. puffy a pretty horrible lyricist. kanye aint anywhere near top 25 mc for me but i think in most top 5 lists its better to look at it not as best mc but best rap artist. so those 5 bake the best rap art. on some straight mc isht 2 pac wouldnt be there, scarface wouldnt be there. kanye wouldnt be thre. only j and rakim would be.
yea, hes better than puff, but not by much.
the bolded is why hes so overrated. just say that you like what kanye raps about more than a puff. and then on the flipside, theres people that dont like his stuff but wont say anything negative about him because its taboo to critique conscious or so-called conscious rappers. lets be real, if kanye had a different gimmick, he wouldnt get half the props that he gets, and probably wouldve never got a deal.

puff isnt a horrible lyricist. hes not a lyricist at all. he doesnt even write.........but he had better ghostwriters than kanye tho.
