To be fair Chris Rock had already accepted the hosting gig and Jada called on a boycott and for Chris Rock to step down as host AFTER no black people were nominated (including Will for Concussion) Chris said no. But he wasn’t hired to shyt on Jada or Will.



I said myself back when it happened that Will had taken a LOT of disrespect during awards season and thats what I feel led to him snapping on Chris. Will was SWEEPING every awards left and right and instead of being praised for his work on King Richard he had to be subject to “Entanglement” questions and jokes. There was a particularly nasty one lobbed at him and Jada during the BAFTA Awards, a night he became only the FIFTH black man ever to win Best Actor. Laverne Cox brought it up unscripted and unprompted during a red carpet interview at the SAG awards. So I think once he saw that look on Jada’s face dude had just had enough of being emasculated during a season he was supposed to be being celebrated.
