any1 catch this shiet yet? throughout the movie, cats namin off their top five rappers (hence the title)..not ONCE in the entire film is 2pac mentioned in anyones top 5. as a matter of fact, no love for the west coast whatsoever. the one list where ice-t gets mentioned, it quickly gets laughed off. so disrespectful.

then to add insult to injury, 2pac was finally mentioned in the movie, but not in anyones list, but rather in a hypothetical situation where if he was still alive he'd be co-starring in a tyler perry movie...smfh

Dudes over 40 from New York don't fukk with Pac for the most part.. Combat Jack explained that. Plus Questlove was the musical supervisor of the movie and he has gone on record saying that it's debatable if 2Pac was even an elite emcee..


So yes the slight or ommision was probably done on purpose...

It is what it is though..People have opinions and if I made the same movie I wouldn't have Jay-Z in any of my top 5 discussions and I'm sure his fans would consider me blasphemous.. I still fukk with Rock and will support the movie...

I am amazed that the subject of Pac has become an article of religious faith. As a writer myself, you can tell Pac wasn't spending much time on his verses. His flow was compelling and has been bitten countess times, but it's essentially the same flow all the time. In 2014 this is contraversial, in 1995 this was hardly a debate.
