They basically fired him because he opted out of the NCAA Tournament without giving them advance notice. Andrew Marchand wrote an article a week ago about this. They didn't announce the announce team rosters like they normally do because CWebb left them scrambling.

I like C Webb as a person and feel he was better in studio. Too bad

He was a great fourth member on Inside the NBA, it was a way better show than with Shaq.

But ever since he got paired up with Marv it's like he got second hand dementia from him and the Reggie, Webber and Marv All-Star weekends were just insufferable.
