The actual quote from the ebook:
“He could probably make $50 million for being in the movie 20 minutes,” my friend [who worked on The Dark Knight Rises and many other films produced by Legendary Pictures] observed. “And it would be worth every penny to the studio.” Sources close to Christian Bale have reportedly begun expressing their suspicions that Bale now views the Batman films in the same light that Robert Downey, Jr. views the Iron Man films."
Seems it was just implied he could make this much like how Robert Downey Jr. w/ Iron Man and the Avengers is offered a lot of money.
Also seems they were referring to a JL type movie rather then the Batman vs. Superman movie.
And
at you guys saying Bale was a good Batman.
Batman had no commanding presence, no quotable lines, no nothing.
How can you be the most forgettable character in your own movie...
Now he did play a really good Bruce Wayne
but that's it.

nikka please, find Jazzy a comic book movie pre-The Dark Knight that intentionally puts the villain of the movie above the hero in the terms of quotes, looks, style, actions and emphasises them and their story especially over the one of the hero's. Nolan put out trailers that were dedicated to the villains of the film, they weren't about Batman, more about the villain. No comic book movie had done this before X-MEN films didn't do it, Superman films didn't do it and the Spiderman films certainly didn't do it, those films were about the hero first then the villain, Nolan films were about the villain first then the hero.
