you use the netflix app on your phone/tablet or use the site from your browser on your pc/laptop
the chromecast just streams it your tv

Somebody explain Plex to me. You telling me I can play media on my comp anywhere? Is it cloud based?

yea you play it off your pc/laptop
you install plex media server on the pc that has your movies
then you use the plex program or app on other devices to stream it
chromecast supporting plex is important because now you can stream to your tv without having to connect a pc/laptop or roku to it.You can just use your phone or tablet now

Plex is making you subscribe to their pay monthly service to use chromecast
plex alone makes it a game changer for Chromecast, but ima stick with my Roku 3
Plex is cool and all....but they get that XBMC on there and THEN we can talk.
