Shaq killed his own argument when he said him and Pat Riley didn't get along and also admitted he was a role player in Miami. He was not the franchise player. Barkley's argument is you have to get along with the franchise player. Shaq said he was wrong and then proved he was right.
How you a role player putting up 20/10 on 60% and making the All-Star team? :gucci:

They both right.
You can't baby players but at the same time sometimes you got to leave yur best player in the game. It depends on the player and how they are made. They're either gonna shut down or tell you as a coach "fukk you I'm bout to prove to you I'm supposed to be in the game"

Shaq being better than Barkley =/= Barkley was a bum who deserves to be disrespected on live TV and have his opinions shot down like that. Barkley is a legend in his own right. He deserves atleast a modicum of respect.

Shaq was actually 23 in the 1995 Finals. Get your years right. Hakeem gave him a lesson on the Dream Shake and swept him.

In 1996 Jordan and the Bulls swept him again.
Again? The Magic beat the Bulls in '95. :gucci:

In '96 they literally fell apart due to injuries. Shaq and Penny balled out. Nick Anderson, Horace Grant, Brian Shaw all injured.
NBA PLAYOFFS;News Worsens For the Magic: No Confidence And No Grant

How the fukk were they supposed to beat the 72-10 Bulls with their supporting cast injured? :francis:

I dont believe its that simple. Its not like they were going to win without Derozen. you go with your best players, in this situation. I understand what Casey was trying to do, but its bigger than one game. What Chuck is saying is kinda like when Brown took out Simmons the other night but he put him back in. This is a sport of confidence. Would Sixers make the playoffs without Simmons? Ok, then. How good is Raps without Derozen. Do they win 40 games even?

suppose they pull that game out with Derozen on the bench? how is his confidence the next game? do the Raps go on to win the series? everyone already knew they were headed for a damn sweep yet you put an All NBA player on the bench. Remember when McHale benched Harden?

I am not blasting Casey's decision, but in this league, you live and die with however your stars are playing and accept that. nikka wasnt coming back to beat the Cavs 4 games they way the Cavs were ballin.

1. IT WORKED.
THE RAPS CAME BACK
THEN BRON HIT A GAME WINNER.

2. ANOTHER OLD SCHOOL GUY KEVIN MCHALE
BENCHED HARDEN WHEN THEY WERE DOWN 3-1.
JOSH SMITH BROUGHT THEM BACK
WITH A CLASSIC PERFORMANCE
AND THEY CAME BACK TO WIN THE SERIES
WITH HARDEN HAVING A BIG GAME 7.

:dahell: DID YOU WATCH THAT SERIES?

TYRONE GA!
Mahorn wasn't even on that team fam. Zeke, dumars, salley, rodman all 28 or younger the oldest dude on that team(vinnie) led them in scoring that series

.

Im not a 90s baby breh. I don't need to read online to know what the deal was then. And yes Mahorn was gone but Laimbeer being their stretch big was absolutely old. Lakers and Celts were absolutely old but the Pistons time was up. Those wars with the Celts and Lakers and an up and coming Bulls finally took their toll and they got finished by the Bulls. They may not have been old age wise but for them specifically their time was up.

SHAQ>>>BARKLEY

22 YR OLD SHAQ MADE A FINALS WITH A 2ND YEAR PENNY
AS HIS NUMBER 2.

WAS HE SUPPOSED TO BEAT UTAH WITH AN 18-19 YEAR OLD KOBE?
21 YR OLD KOBE WASNT DOMINATING shyt IN 2000
WHEN SHAQ GOT HIS 1ST RING.

HE WON A CHIP WITH A 3RD YEAR DWADE.

SHAQ WAS DOMINATING IN THE 90S.

ALL THOSE DUDES YOU SAY GOT OLD
DIDNT WIN shyt WHEN THEY WERE SHAQS AGE.

HAKEEM DIDNT WIN UNTIL HE WAS 31
BUT YOU shytTING ON A 22 YR OLD SHAQ
FOR LOSING THE FINALS.

BARKLEY DIDNT MAKE THE FINALS UNTIL HE WAS 30.

MALONE DIDNT MAKE THE FINALS UNTIL HE WAS 33.

SHAQ WON HIS 1ST CHIP AT 28.
