Why are dudes still hung up on radio in 2014?

The only reason Clear Channel runs shyt is cause its not free to do. It costs money and once you got advertisers, you gotta maximize returns.

Move to the internet and keep it moving.
im saying when over 80 percent of the population has internet access, fukk the radio. these dudes need to find their lane and communicate with their audience directly.

Yeah, that's far from what Chuck is like. He's in many ways the opposite, he's been more trying to help and support and work with younger artists. His position is based on messages and quality not young and old.
You can't force people to like what they like thogh.

If you take all these "knowledgeable" dudes and put their shyt on in any social venue, NO ONE is trying to hear that UNLESS the music sounds good first and foremost.

Yeah, I remember reading about that on here. I think it would be interesting to know what they wanted the show to be about... if it was just a run down of KRS's career and some of the drama I can certainly see why he wouldn't want to come on. But if it was that he got to air his views and concerns freely without restriction I think it would be a good thing. Same with Chuck, I have a direct line to Chuck so I might contact him to see what's good, cause personally I would like to see him go on the show and air these people out, Chuck does his own thing with his own radio show and it's dope as hell, and he's a very humble decent brother. Have a lot of respect for him, and he does A LOT for Hip Hop to this day. Anyone who feels the same as me and would like to see Chuck go on then maybe let him know how you feel through Twitter or something, he's reasonable so would take in the opinions although ultimately like any strong willed, principled person would do what they thinks right. But I think in a sense going through these outlets, while they are dirty/corrupted could be a positive thing, even possibly if they don't get free reign but talk about their career or whatever, sometimes you have to go in the prisons to reach who you wanna reach, or go in the crack house to help the drug addicts. It could be a beneficial thing for Hip Hop, for themselves and for the youths and people as a whole. We need to hear voices like Chuck and KRS and a bunch of others. KRS aired Westwood out on his show and that was dope... it was good cause people knew where he was coming from, and he made great points. Would like to see something like that today. Same with people like a Kool Moe Dee, LL Cool J, anyone with some great history, knowledge and true Hip Hop in them that can speak and represent well.

How this turn into whether Chuck D was broke or not:dahell:....I respectfully disagree with the power he thinks radio plays on peoples minds though, but i still respect his opinion and his intentions cant be questioned in my mind even if you don't agree...i believe music is either just entertainment for you or its the soundtrack to your life and what you are already into and feel:blessed:...So at worst i think music would just keep your brain in the same cycle its been in and not allow room for you to grow and change your mentality which is why balance is good when the positive songs really know how to get they message across and bring a different point of view. This bullshyt on the radio aint changing lives outside of givin people cute shyt to tweet:mjlol:

Nothing has changed though?
Primetime hiphop radio has never played "real hiphop", it's always been about the numbers.

They play "real hiphop" during the worst times on the worst days, that's how it's been and that's how still is.

Back when Chuck D and them were hot MTV played hiphop 2 hours a week after midnight on fridays when people were out, no disrespect but these old people have been complaining since the late 80s. They damn well know that media is a profit maximizing medium, pleasing the biggest and costumers with the highest purchasing power is not playing fukking Action Bronson who is my main man. I just have to face the facts, if I want to hear that type of shyt I'll go on spotify, iTunes, blogs, youtube and the mad different sources out there. Even interviews, we get that shyt from podcasts and all that, all you need is a smartphone and you can record an interview and broadcast it for billions of youtube and post it blogs that cater to the fans of those type of rappers.

Damn shame that these cats can't get an appropriate platform without having to compromise their integrity, I wonder what Chuck has to say about Vlad and his whole schtick.

lets be reality, here.. he aint gettin nobodies boss on air, or gonna change anyones mind.. format will stay the same, people will continue to listen to radio and business will continue on as usual..

Unfortunately.

You're really really dumb.

And this has nothing to do with Summer Jam..

dudes been going hard in the paint for the WOAT banner.. :whoo:

Sling blade levels of retardation breh.
