Everyone can dribble a ball but too play for real its exclusive. That asian kid might not be able to play football but he could be a pro soccer player. Ill hear people talking about how easy it is to rap, then you them hear them do it and it sounds like trash. Maybe cause its so subjective now that its possible for anyone to have fans. It could be cause theres no instruments that the perception of it is that is easy to do but lets see most people do what Mistah FAB does all the time on sway.

The difference is that we call anyone who records a song a 'rapper' but if that Asian kid goes to the park to shoot around he's not a 'pro basketball player' he's just having fun. Just because a ton of people 'just want to have fun' with rapping doesn't mean that no one is making music that is such high quality that others can't do the same. I think Drake's 0 to 100 song is a prime example of someone being able to make a high quality song that even professional rappers can't keep up with let along the THOUSANDS of bummy online rappers who tried their hand at it. It isn't that these guys aren't doing something real good on tracks, it's that anyone can get on a track just like a basketball court.

Maybe if people stopped letting everyone call themselves a rapper and made it a point to 'hate on' these guys, they would move on to something else. You can start with a number of bums on this site and sound cloud.

Chuck D tries to tell Hip Hop the best way to unite but continually we support garbage rappers and dj's continue raising the flag for them and then you wonder why Hip Hop industry can't expand beyond monetizing private prison felon rap.
And the kicker is, Migos gets bigged up while Monch gets no airplay and buried on a iTunes "independent hip hop albums" chart.

When Hip Hop finally says "Get the fukk outta here" and we have that sit down and say to the majority that is out there "Your skills are weak, you aren't offering anything to the culture, you seem like you enjoy promoting ignorance & nothing but negative energy and worsening stereotypes of Hip Hop culture" That's the discussion we need to have. If the skill level has deteriorated this far, we can't let it go any farther.

The reason why Lyricists can't sell is because it takes a moment to adjust to lyricism for Hip Hop radio. It is going to take a long time. But it won't happen if Dj's keep promoting this sideshow carnival of rappers who wouldn't even be allowed on a skit on any of the nineties golden age. Jesus christ, enough is enough.

Something that I find crazy is that every guest, EVERY GUEST, they have on the podcast from that Golden Era all say Kane was that dude and the best MC.

Kane was man. All the best rappers at their very best best feared dude. Think about it, he really birthed Jay Z. On some rap genealogy shyt, Jay's rap father had to be a bad bad man. AND his DJ, Mr. Cee birthed B.I.G. (just saying). Kane was that. His run was very short, but he set the bar so high that NO ONE has ever been able to match his impact. Only cat that was maybe at his level was Rakim. The rap gods did us dirty by not having a Kane/ Rakim battle for us to be entertained by.

We had just left Dallas Penn's wedding, got to the studio to record at 11pm, Saturday night. 3:30 am, Chuck is still going strong, and all I was thinking about was "how tf are we gon' edit this beast?" Fortunately, there was very little fat to trim and our producer Jonathan Mena was a beast at delivering the best product he could. Truth be told though, my team was a bit shook at how well a 3.5 hour episode would be received, thought it might flop bc of its length. God damb Im so grateful y'all stay effn with a Negus. Excellent episode... Never worry about the length as long as the quality is good we will continue to tune. These marathon joints are great listening at work

If a podcast is informative and/or entertaining, the length hardly ever matters. People will listen. Joe Rogan's podcasts are typically long as hell, but people enjoy them and it's a successful popular podcast.

The way Chuck talks is like a great painter painting. It would be wrong to tell him to stop lol.

Definitely gonna be received well, it's all about the quality. Respect the fact you didn't do a quick thing with an artist of the stature/calibre/intelligence of Chuck, it's something not many people do so we appreciate that.
