ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Musician and Rochester native Chuck Mangione has passed away at 84 years old.

According to the Bartolomeo & Perreto Funeral Home, Mangione passed away in his sleep at his Rochester home on Tuesday.

Mangione grew up in Rochester and was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the Eastman School of Music.

Mangione is best known for his song “Feels So Good,” his career spanning over 30 albums, winning two Grammy awards, and being nominated for 14, and for his recurring role on the animated sitcom “King of the Hill.”

All services for Mangione are private as the family navigates this difficult time.

Damn....

Me and my pops would go wash/wax the car on Saturday mornings before college football came on. He'd pop this song in and we'd start cleaning and detailing the ride.

RIP

Feels so good was kind of joke on King of the Hill and then I started listening to it and it hits. Like Herb Alpert Rise hits.

Bass line slaps, guitar is smooth as fukk and the horn is sensational.

RIP to that man.
My pops had both of them in heavy rotation. One of my favorite childhood memories is drifting off to sleep either in the whip on the highway, or in the bed while he was downstairs vibing with some weed and scotch with smooth jazz playing :wow:
