and its easier to smash broads, drink, club, curse, not forgive, listen to devilish music, watch porn, hate your fellow man etc. than it is to live a righteous life.

its a constant battle

Exactly that's what's hold me back. I got deeply in to the Bible last summer and got closer to god then I ever was??? But my sexual sins caught back up with me smh.. how do u stay on track?

Rejoined my old church I went to during my childhood last summer. I love it. A member of three ministries and everything. I still have my struggles with letting go of the past, but I'm glad to be back in it.

...dawg, we ALL do. It's part of the walk. Dying to self daily is a mandate for believers:

Only by His grace are we saved from all the nonsense we won't let go of yet.

i just started going back to church about a year and a half ago, after not going for years.

Now I go sundays sometimes two services, bible studies on Wednesdays. Every other saturday handing out flyers, just talking to people non jehovah witnessy

I have to say i was a rotten mean person who treated people horribly, slept around, used people.

i still slip up here and there but for the most part

its hard breh, remember even Jesus was tempted

i try to stay on track by reading my bible, watching who i associate with.


its so easy to get drawn back into that life, like one of my former fwbs would text me reincar why dont you come over for dinner at work. I gotta decline, like a former alcoholic who wont go to a bar because of the environment.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure

I also have someone in my church who keeps me accountable, who doesn't judge me

For the past 3 weeks, I've gotten up in the middle of church and left..I just couldn't take the shuffle and all the "turn to your neighbor", ..maybe I'm just demonic

maybe you need to go to a new church/ or see new people.

If you wanna to go to church but don't have no where to go let me know.

Church is good for inspiration and all that good stuff


but most of the stuff the people in church actually believes in contradicts much of what we know to be true in reality.


Plus I'm against blind faith and believing something to be true without sufficient evidence. Theres nothing wrong with doing so yet acknowledging that it's just speculation, but to treat it as fact is to be intellectually dishonest with one's self.


which is why I see no need in going, rather read a book and get inspired

i was raised catholic. but its hard to find a catholic church with an amazing choir and a good priest with some energy. noting against other religions but one thing i hate is that some preaches take 3-4 hours to get their point across. catholic church. in by 10 30. out by 11 30.
