Lately I been having problems with people not put in the effort to help grow the church.
Now I trying to find out how we can bring younger people to the church.
As was mentioned before, activities at the church but l not centered around around service will help. Also getting involved in the surrounding community. Parents will bring their kids. Make it an easy going, fun, non judgmental environment.nothing but praise teams & choir.

the gospel movement is bringing younger people in (like Lecrae, Mali Music...etc.), but slowly.
we need younger pastors that can relate to young people to be appointed to focus on them, and church people should be nurturing and understanding instead of discerning and pointing fingers.
this being true, the services the church can render could be a great help, but if the community doesn't make the young person feel welcome, they won't come, which is my issue with my church now, the main reason why i stopped going.
i'm not talking about the pastor, i'm really talking about the members. Pastors at some instances are the most understanding. Some "traditional" christians, who happen to be a little older, believe that everything in life must have a tie to the bible or the church. if there's anything that you're doing that's secular, from the clothes you wear, the way you walk, the way you speak to people, to the way you behave in church some church members will not like it and let you know about it.I understand wanting to feel welcome but the pastor job is to hit you with that knowledge, whether good or bad.
