The song is not bad, but as brehs say in this thread....she stuck in the 2000s. Dunno who this is appealing to
Ageism is real tho, I know so many women who know their run is over and still out there showing out![]()
It's tough, what can she do?It's obvious she wants to continue making music. I think fans just want to see a little taste and style from her.
She came in during the Crunk era. The thing is none of the other Crunk era is still making new music while with her husband's wealthy funds. She still is on his dimeIve often wondered how she became famous. She was in a long term relationship with 50 Cent and couldn’t capitalize off it, Outside of the dancing, and I say this respectfully, she really has nothing to offer. At least Rihanna has her beauty and makeup line, and is somewhat of a fashion icon.
Anybody who denies that Russ upgrade her is delusional.
Level Up was a moderate hit, but yes, Body Party was fireAin’t had a hit since Future wrote “Body Party” for her.
Just make some slower chill stuff. Future had her going in the right direction with “body party” she could keep doing shyt like that. I’d listenShe probably wants to appeal to her base.
But she also probably feels weary about making stuff that appeals to the youth.
How many old artists were able to still get big hits? MJ? Madonna?
I think the issue with Ciara is that she botched her prime career, as someone said. So she never built a strong fan base, and a strong discography. Basically every hit she had was in 2004-2005, and although the songs were catchy... she didn't really transcend the genre. It was too in it's time.

IMO professional black women is under represented in music and she can tap into that market. She can put on a little more clothes and dance with style. All her dancing wasn't twerking when she made music with Missy Elliott. It's tough, what can she do?
