this. they can't just let a motherfukka talk. Cipha is VERY intelligent and was dropping some gems. It wasn't just some dude talking about his boring ass life story. He was physically present during some relevant moments in the game (BIG/Jr. Mafia, The Tunnel, Hot 97 when it wasn't wack, Pun before he became Pun)

I can consign some of this. Combat Jack can sometimes come off as an old head cornball nikka, but his interviews are some of the best I've ever heard,so he gets a pass.

He said that he gave Jay-Z hustling and that's when Jay signed Ross. He said that he argued with Jay about Rihanna because they believed in Pon de Replay but not her, and even Ciph viewed her as someone who was going to make more Caribbean music and they took her in another direction so obviously they were right. When that song dropped I don't think anyone could have imagined that she would become what she became. But he had heard her album and saw something. Ironically, the something he saw is not necessarily why she blew up. They made her a pop star, and he thought sticking a bit closer to her roots would make more sense. Regardless, it's obvious that he has an eye for talent. I wonder why the Marleys vetoed Damian signing to Def Jam though.

The show would be better without guests IMO..combat and Dallas have interesting backgrounds themselves...when it was just combat and Dallas talkin shyt that's when the show was at its rawest form..its kind of watered down now but its still better than everything else that's out right now

I thought the only thing he did at the roc was bringing wack ass latino reggaeton artists (and Nore), as they said on Juan Epstein when Jay was there.
