They have to be bringing something new and innovative to the table i would assume if they want to compete with the other tech companies.

Got my 360 there and hit them up when games were on sale since people usually skipped over them for the Best Buy across the street. That store was always good to me.

How do u compete against Best Buy and Amazon?

We need a coli think tank on this topic, it would be interesting

Circuit city isn't really the same market as best buy, its more like microcenter or a smaller Fry's
Those stores stay in business because they offer solutions beyond just a normal end-user. They usually offer small-business solutions like enterprise level routers or racks

Best buy is closer to Walmart/Target with more electronics

This experiment won't last more than five years. Online shopping will make the in-store experience obsolete (if it hasn't already). Can't actually remember the last time I brought a bunch of shopping bags home.

You don’t worry about the automation of society?

I’m sorry but I can’t do online shopping unless it’s for books or something that isn’t near me like books for school.

Shopping for clothes online is the dumbest shyt to me because in a store you can actually try it on. It’s folks on here who shop online for toiletries which is also crazy to me. And I’d rather go in store to see & touch electronics before I purchase them

I ain't een mad, competition is a good thing. All they gotta do is beat Best Buys high prices.

Makes me think they might have something bigger in the works tho, a partnership with Amazon or some other huge company. :jbhmm:

If that was the case the whole article would be based on that. Sounds smart but nah.

Me and a friend were talking about this with Sam's club closing 63 stores yesterday..

Some locations were just trash
But some are coming back with a new online pickup system

Circuit City..
I mean, imagine every electronics item available for same day pickup
With easy return policy.. no having to pack/mail a return box

The logistics are getting close now

It'd be like a fast food restaurant..
90% drive thru, but the lobby is open if you actually want to go inside

And circuit City still had a brand.. Curtis Mathis would just flop, but people still know circuit city

You don’t worry about the automation of society?

- no. Why would I complain about convenience? lol

I’m sorry but I can’t do online shopping unless it’s for books or something that isn’t near me like books for school.

- cool.

Shopping for clothes online is the dumbest shyt to me because in a store you can actually try it on. It’s folks on here who shop online for toiletries which is also crazy to me. And I’d rather go in store to see & touch electronics before I purchase them

-so people don’t try stuff on in stores, buy it, and return it? This has been happening for 60 years. Same with electronics. People buy and return shyt CONSTANTLY. With YouTube videos I don’t need to see and touch anything. Someone’s doing it for me. You haven’t provided one reason why it’s online shopping is a downside.
