An Emergency Medical Systems captain, Jamie Marquardt, was fired after making some cruel comments about the
shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice. A Cleveland employee allegedly posted that he wished he had witnessed the child's death.
According to the New York Daily News, the post read, "
Tamir Rice should have been shot and I am glad he is dead." He added, "I wish I was in the park that day as he terrorized innocent patrons by pointing a gun at them. I am upset I did not get the chance to kill the little criminal (expletive)."
The city's spokesperson, Dan Williams, denounced the actions made by Marquardt, telling The Plain Dealer, "The posts were not acceptable and do not represent the views or standards of the City of Cleveland administration, Department of Public Safety or Division of Emergency Medical Services."
Although Marquardt has been dismissed from his position, he posted on Facebook that someone else obtained his phone and posted the insensitive statements. In an interview with the Daily News, he says he has proof, "I did not do it. I presented evidence to the city of Cleveland that I did not do it. They fired me simply because it was on the news."

PUBLIC service job titles? They should be nowhere near us

Judges, cops, DA, EMS, all deal with a large % of black people. It's clear that we need more black people in EVERY fukking industry.
