In all seriousness, we ain't have to fukk Fordham up like that. That's the main shopping hub so there's a lot of big businesses but a lot of smaller ones too that are homegrown. We already lost both Modell's. Before you know it there won't be shyt there to sell anymore. On top of that, it's a shopping district but surrounded by people who actually live there. To think I was kinda proud of the fact that we kept that looting business outside of here, but here we are.
That said, the curfew more than anything caused this. We didn't loot during Covid. We didn't loot during all the other protests. The last time the BX had widespread looting was maybe during the 03 lockout and it wasn't even that bad. The governor and mayor turned looting into Olympic time trials and them pushing it up to 8 is just inviting a challenge to people who don't give a fukk. Without a curfew, the ones who were already looting woulda stayed downtown or just stayed home like we did all weekend. It's a Monday night during a "work" week on a school night. Protests are one thing, but nobody was protesting here today.
My borough doesn't react kindly to threats. The Bronx is the type of place to dare Trump to bring out the military just so we can bug out at seeing military trucks drive down Grand Concourse. We're the bluest county in the country filled with every ethnicity Trump can't stand. If they wanted to put Manhattan on curfew, fukk it, cuz that's where shyt was getting broken into, not here. Putting the whole city on curfew was them saying we're all animals. Tonight Fordham was like "we'll bee dat."
