so i got this game because i dont own a computer or a laptop so i cant play real civ. i just play it on this ipod touch. great game.

what strategy does people employ? ive won by financial way with the aztecs one time. i spawned on an island and no other civs found me and i didnt have to spend time building armies or anything.

i normally cant be bothered to deal with multiple cities so all my civs just have one major city. i wish the games were longer tho and didnt force you to finish in 2100 or whatever it is.

Never played on an iPad but there's usually a way to extend the game. It will still end in 2100, but each turn will take fewer years off the clock.

how do you do that? i swear at one point in the game every turn is like 100 years. all of the sudden i will be in the mid 1500sAD with absolutely nothing to show for it.

It should be in the options menu before you start a game.

Also, the way it works is that the first turns of a Civ game are way more years than the last turns.

So if you start at like 200 AD, the turns are (I think) worth 10 years. Once you hit 1950, the turns are worth 6 months or something so it slows down to accommodate the accelerating pace of technological evolution.
