I can't understand how this is legal. The cops take your shyt because they assume it's being used in criminal activity and they don't have to charge you with anything and the burden is proof is on you to prove it isn't.

they arrest this couple's kid with $40 in drugs on him and seize his parent's home saying he's selling drugs out of it then the parents go to court and instead of a judge they have to plead their case to the DEA.shyt is crazy...

This guy had $16,000 on him just taken and he's clearly not gonna get it back. How do you prove the $16,000 wasn't gonna be used in illegal activity? It's pretty much your word against their assumptions.
i read that story thats why i dont carry large bills or money on me... these cops worse than the criminals.... trust for them is damn near absolute zero now in america...

Civil asset forfeiture is disgusting never mind the fact most police depts abuse the shyt out of that law. I did hear recently that they are cutting back on it and won't allow forfeiture in certain circumstances now.
