I asked my pops if he was gonna clap when I walked the stage for my HS diploma and he said to me the same shyt I'ma say to my kids:

"I aint clappin. You SUPPOSED to graduate high school. I'll clap when you get that degree."

And I did. And he did. And if your Dad is actually bout shyt and someone you respect, that's plenty motivation.
