Raising the minimum wage is not a cure all. Some jobs are vastly underpaid and some aren't. Raising the minimum wage across the board would only succeed in raising prices for goods, which would be a net negative or no effect at all on the average worker/consumer.
The democratic socialist favorite countries like norway and Sweden don't even have a minimum wage.
Healthcare isn't free even if you say it is. If politicians really wanted to be honest about "free" healthcare they would tell people about the tax increases needed to sustain that and let people make an informed decision. You might think it's bad but the majority of people don't want to contribute to the health costs of grown ass adults that refuse to take care of themselves. We already have Medicaid and Medicare for the elderly and children and nobody opposes that.
Going to college isn't a right. It also isn't free no matter what language you use. Professors and faculty have to be paid. So if you're telling me it's the duty of all Americans to contribute to those who want to go to college, where is the incentive or reward for those that have zero desire to go to college? Do they just pay into something they would never use? And if you say everyone should go to college, what's the plan when even more people flock to the easy degrees that have been made useless due to oversaturation and lack of available jobs?
Mandatory minimum sentences are some bullshyt indeed. I think all drugs should be legal and the money we spend on enforcement like the DEA should be spent on treatment for those who want it
