Angel is a damn good hooper. When low BBIQ basketball fans say she's ass, you are literally just talking about her lack of finishing skills. The rest of her game is very impressive and she's very impactful when it comes to winning games.

Compared to a nikka sitting on the couch, yeah she a good hooper.

I dont even know who to compare her with as an NBA comp because usually a player who is complete dog shyt on offense is a defensive beast but she ain’t that either. An NBA player as bad as her around the rim wouldn’t get enough touches to do the shyt she out there doing.

Well, Claressa is right, but I guess Angel won because of her presence on social media, podcast, etc, and also people follow women's basketball more than women's boxing.

Shields is the better athlete of the two and will go down as a legend when her career is over, better yet, she's already a walking legend, but Reese, as I stated, is just more active in terms of presence so that's why BET awarded her, she's a bit more culturally relevant among Black people than Claressa particularly due to the aforementioned, especially among those who are younger, which is BET's main demographic.

She's not dogshyt on offense. She's an excellent passer, tremendous movement off the ball, screens well, moves well off the ball, for a big, she has good handles. I don't really understand the hate outside of the horrendous finishing and her no jump putbacks that get blocked a lot. That's ugly for any hooper but that's really her only major flaw. In the last two games, she's been playing at a quality level again on offense.

I mean, the award is “supposed” to go to the best female athlete of the past year. Not who’s been on the most popular podcast or been on the red carpet the most. I get she won because I doubt whoever votes for the BET awards ever pays attention to actual accomplishments and only knows about this superficial off the court stuff. I doubt whoever voted has any idea what A’ja Wilson has done on the court.

The BET award for sports never goes to the best, it goes to who they like the best. There has been years Serena won where she didn't even play due to illness. BET is a Black Hollywood award.
