Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. The whole movie built up to the encounter with him so it had to be a top notch performance otherwise it would've taken away from the greatness of the film. Brando the Gawd was a fat mess when he showed up to the set and and hadn't even read the script yet so the fact that he was able to pull out that sort of performance with a few hours of preparation is a testament to why he's considered the GOAT.
