My uncle had told me about the track star Renaldo Nehemiah who played for the 49ers for a short time and got clobbered by a DB. Finally on YouTube now.

He hadn’t played football in college but was one of the fastest people on the planet and Bill Walsh was intrigued by his athleticism.

The Falcons DB stopped for a second to check on him, like he wanted to make sure he hadn’t killed him.

This hit was a classic hit on NFL Crunch Course back in the 80s.

The late Dwight Clark said Renaldo \didn't sit in the hole in the zone but instead kept running. That's why he got nailed.

He wasn't a football player. I felt bad for him. they set him up to fail.
All truth. I remember being so hyped when he played his first televised game (I think the Raiders or Rams) only to find out that his world class speed meant nothing in that game.

Shout out to Willie Gault.
