Was it these lines that propelled Reasonable Doubt to the classic as we know it now?
This ain't to say nobody thought it was a classic before The Blueprint, but I don't remember it being mentioned alongside albums like Illmatic, Enter The 36 Chambers, The Chronic, Doggystyle, RTD, All Eyez On Me etc before that.

Jay my favorite rapper, but his best win from the Nas feud, was that he was able to propel RD to "Classic" by constantly mentioning it.

I think BP is his only clasic, and TBA is better than RD. Great album, but no, Jay's talking made it a classic.
