I remember my friend's neighbour loved Moment Of Truth and Guru was his GOAT. We used to talk about that album. Guru was so dope, consciousness, rhymes, content, lyrics, he was great and Guru and him were the perfect partnership.

Moment Of Truth the song 1 of the GOAT Hip Hop songs to me too. Love that album, a lot of classic songs. It's filled with heartfelt wise deep ill rhymes, he's pouring his heart and mind out on that shot. It's a special song.

I was with one of my homeboi's when he copped the album from Circuit City. He literally drove around for weeks with Above The Clouds on repeat. Kept sayin "This shyt right here can't be touched!" "This shyt is a classic!!!! Oh my god!!!!" He would say that shyt every time he came to swoop a nikka up...

"It has come to our attention that a mysterious force is LOOSE somewhere in space!!!"

every time I hear that intro I can't help but:pachaha:

That album was the fukkin truth though.

I was one of the 4 to vote The Ownerz as a classic. It's a personal classic for me!

There are moments where the sequence of songs are just mind blowing. :mindblown:

I think what ruined it was that it was too long which is obvious. Certain songs were huff no doubt.

This right here is just

which then goes into...

:dwillhuh: :wow:

I like The Mall :yeshrug:
"Make money money, go shopping! Take money money, go shopping!" :whoa: Nah bruh

Like every song on the album is a classic but then the mall just comes outta nowhere with that shyt and its right after a nikka be vibin to make em pay :lawd:. It doesn't even feel like it should be on the album, its not straight trash but it does not feel like it should be there.

That shyt sounded cold as ice on those Premo beats though. :wow:

nikka's flow was GAWDLY!! :mjcry:
Now that I think about shyt was so dope. Him and Jeru were the only nikka rhyming like that. He wouldn't have sounded right over anybody else tho. That's why I say Premo is the best. He would work with anybody and make sound dope. Dre and RZA hardly worked with anybody

True that! That Afu-Ra album outside of those promo joints were :patrice: and Jeru was smart as fukk to make his first two albums primarily with Premo. :heh:
