what does everybody hate about the ownerz ? i mean it's no classic but why is it seen as not worthy of their discography, the song with jada is one of my fav gangstarr so that alone gets the album to 3 mics. were they already beefing during the making of the album or something, or do people feel they tried to sell out ? i really don't get it

anyway voted fot hard to earn and moment of truth, as a hip hop act they are easily top 20, maybe even top 10.

it was lazy, Guru was mailing in the verses and Premo had started to slide a bit with the beats. theres more duds on Ownerz than the previous 3 albums combined

for me, id say Moment is their classic. best combo of beats and rhymes, the guests were great. wouldnt have a problem with Hard to Earn or Daily, but id have them as 4-4.5 mics

Imma S-T-E-E-L-E-R playboi 23rd :lolbron:
I didn't have too many run-ins with Richmond cats growing up...but the two that I can think of off the top of my head involve a gun being pulled at the Richmond BART station :merchant:
And then a separate incident where I narrowly escaped getting stomped out by like 7-8 Richmond cats on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley :whew:
In broad daylight :russ:

I love how everybody who's giving props to The Ownerz is naming a different cut as their favorite...
this is the kind of thing that makes "classic" albums, especially if it's a popular album...

anyway "Put Up Or Shut Up" was my knock off that - the transition from Guru to Krumbsnatcha is GOAT.

Man :wow:
I thought we were in for an absolute classic the way that album started off with that.

On top of ALLLLLL the bullshyt that used to go down. I almost got shot walkin home from Del Norte Bart, I felt the muthafukkin bullet zip past the hoodie of my starter jacket. Bruh...Richmond, Ashby/Berkeley, Hilltop, CC College bus circle, they used to drag nikkaz off the bus and take jackets n jordans, walkmans, no police, no security.

What was you doin on Telegraph? fukkin with Leopolds/Rasputins/Amoeba? Blondies? The Underground?:russ: Bruh we used to cut through Cal and hit up Telegraph fukkin with hoes and coppin tapes.

I lived out there when I was in college. I'm just walking home all by myself. This one kid runs up on me (literally running :russ:) and pulls his arm back like he's gonna swing on me, doesn't and ends up on the other side of me. I think he thought I was gonna :merchant:. Instead I :birdman:and angled sideways because I had to watch him and the other five brehs heading my way. We exchanged words...and then one of his brehs decides to save my life :russ:and says "nah...he cool". Then I'm just standing there talking to all of them on some friendly shyt. :mjlol:I asked where they were from and they said Richmond and I'm thinking of course :lolbron:
They were looking for some girl's house as I recall. :shaq:
