Be real, a superstar from your hometown. Plays for the hometeam. Promises greatness, fails, quits, teams up with the enemy. And your like :yeshrug: Go Lebron!!!!!........not likely

Like i said I'm not mad at him and I hope he does well, but that was still some sucka shyt.

You dont have to be like "Go LeBron" but way too many of yall acting like some suckas. Like yall the first city that had a superstar dip out on you. Deion left Atlanta, came back was beating up our players and shyt, won 2 titles, and for a long time pretended like he never even played for the Falcons. Deion still gets lots of love in the A.

And he did deliver greatness to Cleveland. He made your city relevant and gave you a national spotlight. He took you to the Finals, with a bunch of bums.

Dan Gilbert made a promise that yall would get a ring before LeBron so if the Heat win the title are Clevelanders gonna go crying to him about breaking a deal?

Lebron still gets allot of love in cleveland. The media likes to hype up the angry people. It makes for a good story. The majority of us have moved on, and some are even back rooting for him. I'm sure there are still SOME people who are mad at Deion all these years later.

And if Dan Gilbert QUITS TRYING to win a championship than yeah he would be a liar who broke his promise and quit on the fans that are paying his salary.

don't really understand all the Lebron hate.......he asked for a superstar.......they couldn't deliver because they didn't wanna get rid of JJ-fukkin-Hickson......for Amare......he spent 8 yrs carrying that team on his back......BY HIMSELF......he fufilled his contractual obligations.....even signed that extension the first go round.....so......why be mad at a man for taking a better opportunity to win???? Everyone else that won had another high calibur all star player on their team....why can't Lebron have one????

Cleveland is a global city, and a better place to live than Chicago. More jobs, less crime
It's not by any measure. No one knows Cleveland outside of America. Look at all the definitions. The great lakes have two places representing, Chicago and Toronto, Canada. Chicago also has the 4th largest metro Economy and 2nd largest downtown in the entire US, as well as third behind NY and London. There are not more jobs there. Cleveland has been losing people since the 1960 census, if people where about it the jobs and folks would not have left.

We couldn't get another superstar cause Lebron knew he was leaving so he never recruited anybody. Both amare and bosh said they never even talked to him about coming to Cleveland but they both talked to him about going to Miami. Since he's moved he's been very active in recruiting people to Miami, here in Cleveland he and the rest of his nba friends knew he was leaving so they never came here.

There is nothing wrong with HAVING another supertar for help, but not one of the greats thought they NEEDED one. When it came down to it Jordan put the team on his shoulders and carried it to a win, that's what it takes to win a championship not worrying about what your teamates are doing. I think Lebron is learning his lesson and he will do what he couldn't here, and that has nothing to do with d wade or any other superstar.

And there are plenty if championship teams that didn't have two superstars. Last years dalas mavericks is one.

Cleveland is not very known in POP CULTURE. But we are known worldwide for business and manufacturing. Plenty of worldwide business were started here or have there home offices here. Progressive insurance and the nestle corporation were founded in cleveland just to name a few. The company I work for ships airplane parts all over the world and was named on the Forbes top 100 small companies list.

Chicago's jobless is rate is at at 8.9% Cleveland's at 6.7%
Currently Chicago is known worldwide for this WILD WEST IN CHICAGO - The Daily more murders in Chicago than Afghanistan.

Doesn't sound like a place I'd want to live.

but it wasn't lebron's job to recruit....he asked the front office.....granted they DID try to get him good players, i'll give them that, but it just didn't work out i guess. And yes, Jordan did carry his teams to win, but lets not act like Pippen wasn't right there, and until now lebron hasn't played with anyone who was even HALF the talent Pip was. :manny::manny:

I understand that Cle was upset, as they should be, but they should be upset with HOW lebron handled it instead of the actual choice he made....but you guys HAD to know it was coming....who has a "tv show"/press conf saying they are staying????

Two united states presidents were born in Cleveland, 6 in Ohio, I think were doin pretty good on that front.

If terrorist wanted to send a message to america and they had to pick between only these two cities wich one do you think they would pick.

Philly or Cleveland the birthplace of two US presidents.

Level of significance
Philly > Cleveland

This celebration is a bit premature.

Perhaps I missed the thread where NE Ohioans got together to bash LeBron, but this is a thread where LeBron fans got together to bash Cleveland. I am rooting against him, but it's about as heavy in my mind as rooting for the Avengers to save the world during their movie.

The facts are that LeBron was the one who didn't show up when it was crunch time - which the world saw last year. So whether it's the Cavs or the Heat, he won't blossom unless he gets over his own hype and actually digs deep.

Where are you guys from where repping for your crib is so low on the priority list? Where I'm from (which is actually not NE OH) representing is very high on the list. I can understand that you don't have that tendency, but I know that you at least understand how it works. Those of us that "hate" on LeBron just simply consider it weak to turn your back on your home. He's free to do so and likewise I am free to look down on it.

It's somewhat small minded to root against him, but what I am really doing is rooting for karma. If he never wins a ring, that would be his own karma ("karma" means "activity". What you do follows you and clings to you). If he does, he will have to live with the fact that he hitched a ride there after not being able to make it on his own.

The :umad: smiley is very funny looking so use this opportunity to post it, but I ain't mad. Now if this series doesn't go as predicted, guess who's gonna be mad for real. I would really be afraid that LeBron would commit that.

Why is he recruiting for Miami? How can a front office recruit another superstar if the main superstar is talking to other players about moving to other teams. As stupid as Dan Gilbert made himself look after the fact, before Lebron left he did EVERYTHING he could possibly do for the cavs and Lebron.

And most of us aren't mad at the fact he left but how he left. Its those who took all that hometown hero stuff to heart that got their feelings hurt. Those of us Cavs and Basketball fans before and after Lebron have moved on.
