Averaged like 3 points on awful shooting.

Popped shyt in an IG post.

Got released.

I knew something was up when they were getting blown out by the Heat and Lue had him out there with 4 guys who never play. Chris had the :stopitslime: the whole time.

I think it was the memphis game that the clippers announcers were talking about how great CP was playing and this nikka had all of 5 points and 2 rebounds :laff:

"Work with him on the next steps of his career". This nikka got fired fired.

I was waiting on this to happen. Surprised it took so long. CP3 was more than likely talkin' that sh*t either trying to coach the team or dividing the locker room. Same sh*t as the Lob City days but he was the All Star "Point Gawd" back then and you had to simply let it slide and deal with it. Not anymore. He can barely get the ball past half court. Its embarrassing to get waived on your farewell tour, but low key their doing him a solid. Team is a complete dumpster fire and train wreck going nowhere fast.
Clearly not based on his initial reaction. This further shows how pathetic, low level & historically shytty that franchise is. Glad GOAT franchise got that stench outta the same arena

Cautionary tale for team hopping hoes, Lakers probably wishing they could do the same to Bron and his son right now
Yes and no

This is more of a cautionary tale for teams that mortgage their franchise for creating superteams. This team would be MUCH MUCH different had they not given in to Leonard's demands and traded for Paul George.

Considering their history, maybe he was getting into it with Harden, who is already a few weeks away from asking for (another) trade and quitting again. That and/or the tolerance for his attitude no longer being worth it due to his production no longer making up for it.

Getting cut via text message during a road trip on the opppsite side of the country isn't some, "We want to help," type of ordeal. You don't do that to a retiring first ballot HoF'er you think highly of. That seems like a decision born out of spite. 'We're fed up and need you out of the locker room ASAP," type of move.

Also if he doesn't sign with another team, he'll be the final player from the 2005 draft (will happen anyway since this is his final year)

I'm conflicted about retirement tours

Were they even truly a talked about thing before '15-'16? Feels like a lot of guys would make the announcement after the season or fade away silently. MJ didn't have one in '98 because he didnt intent to retire until they refused to bring back Phil. Duncan went quietly into the night. Hell, Tom Brady didn't even have one.

Now everyone is trying to curate the perfect moment to retire instead of organically deciding when it's time. I can't remember one that's went off without issue since Kobe, and it seems like dudes are trying to replicate it and are chasing that same reception.

why? chris paul is one of the worst players in the nba. He can't shoot, he can't defend, he's slow. And he ain't beloved like a kyle lowry , jeff green, garrett temple or has connections like bronny or thanasis to stick around.

Getting sent home in the nba is so pathetic.

Watch him probably go on national tv like Melo and beg for a job. :mjlol:
