The nepotism angle is finally dead:blessed:

-props to Austin tho.. he had a lot of fight and showed up in big games. Being consistent on a night in night out basis was his problem. Plus it always seemed like he was guaranteed big minutes from pops no matter how he played and this caused alot of friction in the locker room over the years. Now Doc can just straight coach without looking out of Junior and Austin gets to get from out of his father's shadow. Works great for both parties.

Gortat is insurance for us in case DJ is leaving and I believe him and Austin come off the books next year. Good trade for both teams.:ehh:

Im disappointed deandre never got that post game he was supposed to be working on. I think it was the first season doc got there, they just stopped letting him post up, did they ever mention why specifically

When Doc became coach he wanted DJ to become more of a defensive player which he did.. He is a very athletic dude but he doesn't really have the touch, patience, and footwork for a good inside post game. He shows flashes here and there of what could be but it never materialized on a consistent basis. Also he couldn't hit a free throw for the majority of his career so becoming a better post player was damn near futile when you can't make a free throw. I'd like him to stay on the Clipps honestly and get his number retired some day
