I didn't mind Austin on the team at all. Dude showed up when the lights were bright and improved as a player. The problem was he was wasn't consistent night in and night out and was always guaranteed almost 30 minutes a game no matter how he played. Doc adjusted lineups so he could shine and he got to play through mistakes when other players got yanked with a quickness like Reggie Bullock, Lance Stevenson, and CJ Wilcox. So many headaches with Austin. Doc has a history of playing players that have less talent for reasons unknown...remember Paul pierceI didn't mind Austin on the team at all. The biggest fear and talk on Clipper boards was that Doc was going to put Austin above the development of our first rounders Shai and Jerome Robinson who look to have way more upside than junior. This past year I thought that Sindarious Thornwell and Ty Wallace should've gotten more minutes. With Doc it just always seemed like the promotion of Austin was always the main priority instead of team goals and team development. Now with Austin gone, and I do wish him well in DC, Doc as coach is more tolerable and can finally just focus on playing the best players and concentrating on x's & o's.
