I’m on record as saying I always found the Clipse slightly overrated, especially Hell Hath No Fury. People were acting like that album was the second coming of Reasonable Doubt and it was just ok to me.

But Pusha solo really made me a fan. Starting with the Fear Of God Mixtape. My Name Is My Name was straight heat and Daytona was incredible. Its Almost Dry was excellent and I Pray For You got me excited for a Clipse reunion.
Cant deny his catalog is upper echelon.
Alone in Vegas is better than a lot of rappers whole albums that year.

Honestly I don't think people really know when Hugo is involved is and when he's not

I've seen people claiming Hugo was involved on production where he's not listed in the credits at all.

nikkas just ready to call some shyt wack and have their reasoning like "I called it"
Yeah, I'm open to being put on to what Chad has done that was dope outside Neptunes, I'm just unaware I guess more than anything. Post some joints brehs, what am I missing here?

Wish upon the stars on my roof
they all scattered
ain't no more Neptunes
so P's Saturn

:yeshrug:

Push letting em know where the plank is if they wanna walk off it on that closing verse

What I would love to see is them let this album breathe for the summer, do some unique things to promote it and keep their buzz in the media going, I see they got a tiny desk performance (which I'll watch after I finish the album) so more of that kinda thing to promote the album. And then 4th quarter they hit us with back to back or even same day solo projects, package it like TheMidBelow/Speakerboxxx and then if Lord Willin the reception is good and then they do a major tour 2026 accompanied by a biopic esque documentary.

I would really love to see them capitalize on the momentum and solidify their legacy in not even just hip hop but music in general and popular culture over all.

And a world tour would be a great place for a Neptunes reunion. If So So Def could do it to some degree of success no reason Clipse and Neptunes couldn't.

I'm late to the thread (and listening to the album) so I got like 200 pages to go lol so I'm not tryna go backwards to find the post but, the sentiment of it was that the instrumentation aspect of beat making is the hardest part and that's what Chad brought to the table and that's why he will be so missed on this project. And I'm honestly not trying to diss but I really was genuinely surprised at how many posters were bringing him up and acting like Chad not being involved would somehow lessen the quality of the beats, but if you think about it Clipse biggest song is Grindin and to this day a fan favorite and it's pretty minimalist when it comes to the beat. Its constructed from like 5 simple sounds. I'm only 5 tracks in but so far it seems like one Hugo dont stop the show.

The gender queer reggaeton Drake loving coli troll poster schtick getting kinda stale bruh. You got an alt acc you can lean into and retire this dead horse already?? Or have you gone full Donnie Brasco and just in too deep?
That post, which was a joke, is two months old yet you’re still triggered. Lol get a life.

Drake sucks.

90k first week is crazy. That's leaving almost every rapper behind that's not Future, Carti, Kendrick, Drake and Travis Scott. If the numbers increase a little bit they will be in the league of Lil Baby and 21 Savage :damn: Who themselves would probably struggle to put up 90k right now.

It's fair to complain about it, but a ton of artists talk about the same shyt all the time and don't get nearly as much grief for it as Clipse does. It feels like a double standard at times.
theres actully very few artists that have made clipse level of sucess that have as small subject mattter as they have....they arnt stove God cooks lol they had hits

I was looking up what dudes were saying on Twitter and Jim Jones stans were saying he killed Push last year. These nikkas are starting to be like Drake stans.

Reckless delusion.

This shyt is is like the best possible advert for the new Clipse. Jones sounds like he just surfaced from a deep water dive :mjlol:struggling for breath, can't pronounce his words, rushing out his corny bars. Is being garbage the trend he's trying to set? Oh yeah, now it's coming back, he was always this way. An influencer parading as a rapper.

Ya boy in a mansion with some mid Croation pornstar with botched plastic surgery face and hes looking around and just sees a crew of opportunists who half of them been extorting him for a decade plus, a Chappelle show players ball character of a dad who only there for the money and a dopey faced son who's probably off in the corner staring at a spot on the wall blankly chewing on a crayon humming Euphoria talking bout "do doe dudda bout dahh, dadda done doe dudda bow dahh" and Drake hasn't felt so alone and out of place since he was 10 years old visiting his pops and his Memphis cousins were all crowded around him slapping the fukk out his stomach screaming "pink belly, pink belly, pink belly"

I just started the thread today while I'm listening to the album, I didn't read this 2 months ago and been stewing about it since then lol

And I'm aware you're trolling, I'm not triggered I'm just theorizing that you've been playing the character of a sad bunny faq fanboy for so long that maybe you need to come up for some air
:dame:
