I’m a Clipse fan, but what’s up with the lyrics? :russ:

nikkas reciting Timon and Pumbaa :mjlol:

The beat is like every other beat produced by Pharrell from the last several years; he tried to add a bit of a Giorgio Morodor’s Scarface soundtrack influence to it but it’s very bland.

Nah man, this ain’t it.

Pharrell been making the same beat for 5 years lmao

No Chad around anymore.

Which is to be expected. The production ain't gonna be as dynamic as before. Chad was really the ingredient that took those Neptunes beats to the next level. Dude plays a million instruments.

This is the sole reason why I have zero interest in listening to the album.

Pharrell did Chad dirty

Truth. P can't do it alone.

With Chad, those beats were f*cking ridiculous. Look at "Gangsta Lean", "Cot Damn", and something like "Young Boy" on the first Clipse album. The first couple of Kelis albums were production masterpieces too. That's the magic that Chad brought to the table with P's drums, back then. Pharrell doesn't have the range to do that today with the sound. And people can tell.

No lies told, only truth

It breaks my heart seeing how dirty Pharrell has done him

His own partner in production for 20 plus years. Ego is truly something else

Just seems like not only did P want all the glory, but also the bread too.

Industry is wild dirty.

I personally like the beat. nikkas whining about Chad well go listen to Chad music. Oh? Can't find any you like? That's cause he's not as good as Pharrell. Pharrell beats are still good without Chad. But his beats ain't better than the Neptunes as a whole.

Pharrell only gets as good as his old Neptunes beats when he's co-producing with someone else. It doesn't actually have to be Chad specifically. Like he'd have to link up with someone like Mike Dean for example. Chad had really good synth variety.

Man F U C K all this “Chad” “Chad” “Chad” talk, some of ya’ll wouldn’t give a nikka credit for making something great if you watched him craft it with your own eyes. You’d swear some “other” must’ve guided him from the great beyond.

Chad and Pharrell have their issues and I hope that IF Chad was done dirty that he gets his due but just because he says some shyt happened doesn’t make it 100% truth. The TRUTH is that Pharrell is a musical genius and has proven that independent of his work as a member of both Neptunes and NERD. He doesn’t need anybody to make great beats and this Clipse joint is a dope ass song that straight KNOCKS in the whip. Pharrell don’t NEED Chad and the Clipse don’t NEED Chad. Let these BLACK men cook and stop trying to predicate their greatness on some other.
