True yeah I remember the issue Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz had with that and lost all the royalties on Uptown Baby. Puff too on I'll Be Missing You but he probably ain't care since he was getting label points.

So I guess Clipse thinking would be, throw this on Youtube for promo but don't put it on the official album where you selling physicals?

The thing with "Deja Vu" that bugged me out, was that was just a straight loop. I don’t understand how they thought Steely Dan wasn't coming for that bread sooner or later. There's no way to even mask that sh*t, lol. They said SD took ALL the money off that record, eventually. LOL!! They took 100% of the royalties and like $120,000 cash to clear the sample.

Older artists make a whole living now off of Hip Hop samples. And with the sample snitch sites we have now, you can't even chop sh*t and not be told on, lol.
