Yea for DAMN he did the standard Apple Music interview with the white guy, but at least he also did LA (black) media at the time. Chopped it up with Big Boy. I acknowledged he doesn't do much of any press these days and while I did forget about the Harper's piece...I don't count the SB thing. That was just standard NFL/SB promo.

I'm gonna die on this hill but I think it's important for artists to talk about their art every now and then. Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Miles Davis, etc...they all did it. Even acknowledging it's a different era now, I just think it's disappointing that we don't have a definitive Kendrick interview post-Mr Morale. Where he's actually asked follow up questions and it's a thoughtful process instead of PR.
Dude couldn’t articulate his views political views and had his handlers interrupt the interview process. Since FOX News went after him instead of doubling down on his hook on “Alright” he decided to censor his most political bar at the SB and Grammy. And shy away from spitting political rhymes.

Dude isn’t as deep as his Stan’s make him out to be and that would be exposed. So now it’s just soft ball interviews

I’m a Push/Clipse Stan and he’s been solidified in my goat list since 2010 but his integrity in these interviews is bottom tier lol - it’s been like that since he was beefing with Wayne tbh….always creating a narrative to justify his bullshyt.

Dude saying he hates Kanye as a man and hates his leadership - you were thick as thieves for over 10 fukking years. If you hate the man and his leadership so much then why did you work so closely with him for over a decade? Understandably you loved the position of CEO and financial benefits it provided you with so that being the case, just shut the fukk up about it and decline the line of questioning. I’m not even a Kanye fan but it’s jarring that Pusha holds himself up as this beacon of integrity - only reason that you’re so free to talk about Kanye now is because it’s easy to talk about him due to his antics.

Same with the narrative about Pharrell not being paid being the reason why he was beefing with Wayne and Drake - bro just say you’re a hater and keep it moving loool. The only beef I can see you being justified in is the Travis and Jim Jones bullshyt and even then I will agree that the timing is questionable because you only have something to say when you need to cash in on it.

All that being said, I’m gonna be there as soon as the album drops on Friday morning. Been running LW and HHNF back to back continuously for the past few weeks in preparation - stone cold classics. Push and Malice and two of the best to ever do this shyt.
