Random thought, I hate how it’s now trendy on social media to like (or pretend you like) old school lyrical rap. Folk who was nowhere to be found in the dark years when all that mattered was sales and ‘you can’t play that in the club’

I noticed it after the lox versus and i went overdrive after kendrick destroyed Drake. So now you got ig thots talkin bout ‘Yaaaas hip hop is back’. bytch shut up. :what:n
Bruh you aint never lied

The production is lacking, if we’d like to be truly objective; I hate these “fancy” beats with shytty piano and/or orchestral lines (yes, I realize the latter is a subjective observation). Also, P’s hooks on those last couple joints are basura.

The production's definitely just aiiiight.

Push and Malice are spitting crazy, but they're carrying the songs, lyrically, because the beats are kinda just getting by. But this is where Pharrell's limitations are, and why he's basically been making the same beat for a few years now. It's good enough for Clipse though.
