Pretty obvious that Drake set a line in the sane for the industry: you do business with Kendrick, you don't do business with me. This is now the second time Roc Nation has sided with Kendrick.

Point here isn't that Drake said he won't sign to Def Jam one day if they greenlight a Kdot feature. It's moreso about "I don't do any features for any of your artists if you put Kendrick on anything." Do I think it ultimately matters? No. His recent features have largely been irrelevant.

Kendrick went on a run this last year.

Would've been a lot more things UMG would've blocked before a verse on a Clipse album.

whats why Pusha kinda exposes the lie here.

Yall threw everything at Drake. Whatever Drake did or didn’t do doesn’t address why Pusha got dropped…people are letting Pusha lie to them about the feature impact.

Carti didn’t have this issue. Carti is on Interscope.
Per the usual, you're taking a ton of liberty with details based on your own assumptions.

Def Jam let them out their contract because of the designated creative differences. There is no need to lie or embellish that because firstly we know who we're dealing with, the guy who likes to sue. Secondly if Def Jam wanted to drop the Clipse and Pusha T, they would have done it prior to them submitting a finished album.

the problem with this, is that we ultimately find out the truth is in the middle here.

People were saying drake owns nikkas catalogs…then find out, he doesn’t.

its always conspiracies about drake’s money and influence just to find out maybe Pusha T got dropped and yall are buying his lie?

They signed as CLIPSE to Def Jam in October 2024.

Nobody gets dropped a few months after signing a deal unless the label goes through a complete management rebuild (didn't happen) or some type of legal issue/controversy like sexual assault (didn't happen). There is zero reason to believe they got dropped. If you sign the Clipse in 2024 you aren't expecting sales or hits. Pusha bringing back a Kendrick and Hov feature would be welcome by any label in this situation...unless the drama was coming from a third party who likes to sue people and had been crying for months.
