Well deserved tbh

nikkas had a full roc nation roll out. They've literally been on damn near every platform.

Can you name the last time a prominent rapper gave an ask me anything on reddit?

The album is great but idk why we've went from acknowledging how great this rollout is to trying to act like the marketing was non-existent.

Full bundles. Collabs with KAWS. Rollout dissing Travis, Kanye and Drake. Rollout hyping up the Kendrick verse and how controversial it would be.

They had an insane push. But that doesn't detract from how great the work is which is everlasting
Not mention a whole Tiny Desk on the day of the release
Honestly this was one of the bigger marketing pushes in a min for artists of this caliber

I'm used to cats selling 300k+ first week. And even then that was a L depending on who the artist was
ppl are right it's a different time now but remember when 50 got clowned and it was a massive L that he *only* sold 700k first week for Curtis

Lmao that was like 15+ years ago.

Nowadays if your name isn’t Kendrick, Drake, Cole or one of them rave retard rappers like Travis or Carti you ain’t hitting 300k first week as a rapper. Hell 100k is considered a hot album.

For reference. The Orchard existed before Sony even bought them out. They aren't a major and they don't deal with major artists or labels. It's an INDEPENDENT entertainment distribution company. Roc Nation is FAR bigger in music than The Orchard. And they deal with FAR more artists. U would be better off signing to Roc Nation than even some other majors as a hip hop artist. Roc Nation itself is a subsidiary of Live Nation.
The Orchard has been a division of Sony since 2012. Mass Appeal is not owned by the Orchard but the Orchard distributes their music. The Orchard hasn't been indie in of itself in years.

They distribute the music of indies (I've always equated the Orchard to when Swishahouse was doing business with Asylum or the ADA shyt Warner has, where they're smaller and left to their own devices mostly, but someone's looking out for them)

Very weird. Distracting from a clipse thread to push his obsession with Nas. I guess since jay isn’t putting out music, hating on Nas is all that loser has left.

Bundles skew stats. Happy for clipse though, album of the year so far to me.
Nas is on the album (correct)

We do comparisons all the fukking time.

So chill the fukk out

I know how long they have been. But regardless it's still independent. I'm confused in what ur trying to say honestly. This isn't some major label distribution here.

You DO realize that Independent labels utilize distribution companies all the time correct?
I didn't say Mass Appeal wasn't independent, but they're not distributed by some rinky dink company or proverbially out the trunk. The Orchard isn't what KOCH was, put it that way.

Don't affect anyone here none anyway.
