I’on e’en fukks with horror survivals outside of TLOU & TLOU2 but Hellraiser 1-3 is my favorite so I gotta have this.
It's just annoying like when you first see the cube you KNOW it's evil and yet people try to open it...like havent someone just said nah...
Not sure what movie/story you're referring to but people don't usually know it's evil.
Even Frank in the first movie was surprised when the Cenobites appeared.

The first 2 Hellraisers were an interesting study on the depths (literally hell) people will go to fulfill their base desires, curiosity, and the price they are willing to pay done through the lens of a horror film The game actually looks really good, you can tell they care about the source material.

im saying tho thats why it doesnt work because as a audience member you start asking questions... like in other horror movies they start developing rules in the continuity. like in jason goes to hell. all those people he killed bought out the feds and THAT Should HAVE BEEN THE END OF THE MOVIE...

That's why I said re-watch the first two movies. Nothing else is canon.
The studio dropped like 10+ more "Hellraiser" movies after that solely to retain the rights so they wouldn't revert back to the creator. None of those movies count.

That and all kinds of other nonsense happened and ruined a game that had a good bit of promise, by forcing it prematurely as well. Damned shame.
Never got a chance to play it, but I think I either had it on Steam or something else off the strength of Jericho a while back. Definitely got to check it out.

Hellraiser 3 gets a bad rap cos of how Pinhead's character switched up, but I thought it was dope for the consistent fukkery it brought.
All the Hellraiser movies after that were hot trash.
