Dude they really had next during the peak of the Indies in the 2000s.

Come on, man. When did this happen? The only event attracting a good crowd was King of Trios. Rest of the year they were doing shows in college basketball courts and gyms. There were a couple moments when they got some buzz going: Before the first shutdown, and the time when they changed all the licensed entrance themes for generic ones (There was a rumor about a TV show, but nothing came from it, obviously), plus the occasional online article about this "different" and "fun" comic-based promotion.

They were a very niche cult, which barely could keep a stable roster beyond the lifers who were drinking that kool-aid and repeating the mantra:

I stopped following Chikara after the BDK angle finished with that dope Cibernético match. After that I checked some King of Trios matches and some special stuff (like 1-2-3 Kid vs El Generico and some Eddie Kingston matches)

And yeah, there was never really a "peak" Chikara. KOT was their staple but they were basically always the same promotion.

Also that Joshimania event damn near drained the living soul out of that company on a financial level and legit level.

The thing that I really appreciate about CHIKARA was the fact that it felt like one of those old school Saturday morning type of wrasslin promotions where kayfabe lived on. Yet, the grim reality is that the stigma of a bunch of vanilla wafer ass wrestlers doing lucha moves in front of sweaty man kid pigs is hard to market to the casual wrestling fan.

Despite an impressive list of talent to come through or from it, Chikara fukking sucked, brehs. Buncha 135 pound white guys in lucha masks doing shytty arm drags in front of 25 people in the corner of VFW halls with their ring 6 inches off the ground

The editing of this and the way Quack speaks makes this seem like some kind of parody or at least that Quack is an alien

Three words: "sociopathic crocodile tears".

Don't know if that makes sense, but that was the impression this statement gave me.

He really does come off like a psycho. His speaking style is so bizarre. There's a lot of rage behind his words, too.
