As a wrestler I was a big fan of his whole "last boss" persona, but the whole "family friendly" shyt basically as transparent as his promos. This is the same man that closed Chikara down after cheating on his wife who was a big part of the promotion's success in the midst of their popularity. If dude would had just kept his dikk in his pants, Chikara would had been the closest thing to mainstream status as TNA was...but this business man:francis:
Bruh relax.

Chikara was and is the most niche ass hyper wrestling nerd company of all time. They don't have a shred of mainstream. Everyone who would be into a bunch of fat and comically skinny dudes doing sloppy lucha is already watching Chikara.

This is sad to hear. CHIKARA wasn’t my thing, but I always rooted for the company because I know Mike personally and he’s a good dude. It’s hard to reconcile that the guy that I know would be an abuser. He always came across as a really kind-hearted guy.

With that said the person that I met him through is currently hiding out in Portugal because he was running a real estate scam in the States. So maybe I’m just a bad judge of character.
Mike Quack and Fox News tv host that was running Ponzi scheme. Very interesting company you keep :jbhmm:

Chikara is the reason Orange Cassidy is a star. That's where he was able to develop his talent before people ever saw his face. Guys like Cesaro also got their chops there.

I'm also of the belief that Chikara folding in 2013 gave more exposure and talent to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, which undoubtedly boomed in the former's absence.

That's got nothing to do with Chikara being "as big as TNA" family. They reached their peak.

I disagree with the PWG point though. Their boom was 100% a result of ROH's incredible drop in quality as they transitioned to a TV model. PWG's rise really began in 2010/11 as ROHs business change and really made then the premiere indie for workrate, spectacle, and dream matches.

This is correct, having lived through it (as did many people on the board). When ROH essentially stopped being a super indy post-Gabe Sapolsky, PWG filled the void. Notice how PWG starts cutting out most of the edgy comedy around 2009-2010 and starts focusing on in-ring product, dream matches, their tournaments, etc. They were filling the void created by the shift in ROH's product, as well as the split between ROH and Gabe that eventually gave birth to Dragon Gate USA and Evolve.

Dude they really had next during the peak of the Indies in the 2000s. While TNA is a stretch, I would see them going on a niche television program scheme if Quack would had not fukk over his fasho p*ssy :unimpressed:. Hell, their arcade streaming show was on the radar for a bit. It just seems like dude has a self destructive personality. When he tries to be successful, he manages to fukk it up:beli:

You made a really good point about the change in ROH quality. Truly never thought about it from that perspective. I'll stand corrected.

notice how he said he's resigning as head trainer but not closing down the school. he still owns the school so anyone who still goes there is giving him there money. what a fukking carney.
Quackenscum probably knows nothing else. He’s gonna try to make his money, so let’s see how many of these aspiring marks keep him in business.
